Reading an oracle deck made simple

Working with oracle cards is fun, inspirational and often times amazing. They can be used for daily inspiration, as a part of your spiritual practice or on days when you are seeking more clarity and guidance on a particular issue. Here are some different ways to use oracle cards.

Select a card each morning to begin your day with an intention or question:

  • What will today bring?
  • What can I focus on today?
  • What do I need to know now?
  • You can simply choose a to be a focus of a morning meditation.

I have clients who like to draw a card during the day when they need a pick me up. One married couple uses their decks in the evening before bed while reflecting on their day together. The ways to use oracle cards are really limitless.

  • You can use the cards to answer questions and seek guidance.
  • You can select cards for simple and more complex spreads.
  • And you can use oracle cards with other divination tools to get more information or clarification.

The most important tool that assists you when working with oracle cards is your intuition. Follow your inner guidance when selecting a card. If you feel the urge to draw two or three additional cards, trust that. If a card jumps out while you are shuffling, it is a message for you as well. Trust what you feel each card means to you in addition to the word on the card and it’s interpretation.

Other ways to use the cards:
  • Use your deck as a daily spiritual practice or in addition to your current one.
  • Keep a favorite deck on your alter, next to your bed, or on your desk.
  • Share and use with a friend.

Have fun. There are no limits. You will be amazed at the accuracy of the messages which:
  • Validate what you may already know.
  • Give you a gentle nudge.
  • Provides clarification.

You can have one deck you love to use or many. There are many different types of decks to choose from: angels, fairies, healing, purpose, nature etc. Whether it’s the subject or the artwork, choose the deck that resonates for you.

Oracle and tarot decks reflect your energy and where you are now, recent past and where you are heading. It is important to remember that you can change your path at any time so use this as guidance and see if you like where you are heading. If not, the cards give you the opportunity to make the changes that will serve you on your journey.

With Gratitude,
Allyson
